PRESS RELEASE NEWS RELEASE Wednesday, April 14, 2010 Written and submitted by Linda Jackson, Theatre West Publicist.
Theatre West presents their late Spring production of "Chapter Two” a dramatic comedy by Neil Simon.
Directed by Bonnie Ross, the play is set to run from Thursday, May 6 through Saturday, May 29, 2010 every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 8:00 P.M.
The cast: George Schneider played by Bryan Kirsch, Leo Schneider played by John Farrell, Jennie Malone played by Cindy Martin and Faye Medwick played by Lindsey Neilson.
The crew: Stage Manager - Shelby Barton, Costumes - Liz LaRocque and Sound/Light Booth – Wes Ryan.
The Play: “Chapter Two” is a semi-autobiographical story which Neil Simon wrote following the death of his wife. The play adroitly and humorously examines how couples work through the perplexing issues of contemporary relationships. It was nominated for a Tony Award, and Simon later adapted it for a film starring James Caan and Simon's then-wife Marsha Mason, on whom the character of Jennie was based. This play deals with mature themes and is not appropriate for a very young audience.
Theatre West is located at 3536 SE HWY. 101 in Lincoln City . Tickets for the show are $10.00 for adults, $9.00 for seniors (62 and up) and for students (over 12) and $7.00 for children 12 & under. A special group discount is available at $8.00 per ticket for groups of 10 or more with a pre-paid reservation.
